MQP continues support for local causes
Continuing its support for the local community and good causes, MQP has assisted a number of projects already this year. Two recent examples are the company's assistance for Hospice Hope and a donation in aid of Marie Curie.
Hospice Hope is a registered charity providing palliative care to adults living in North West Leicestershire. Stewart Shepherd, Chair of Hospice Hope said: "We are planning to open Hope House in April for people with life-limiting illnesses, where they can receive pastoral support. As part of our planning application, we had to agree to build a 6 vehicle car park plus a turning circle. Whilst we could find space for this, the amount of material required to level and compact was significant. A phone call to MQP resulted in a speedy visit from Steve Lee who estimated the amount of material needed and within days the job was done. We are extremely grateful to MQP for their support and the speed in which they delivered.
MQP is also supporting Sharon Harkin in her charity trek across the Great Wall of China to raise money for Marie Curie. Sharon, who works for Paul John Construction, said: "Whilst I am excited to be fulfilling a lifelong dream of visiting the Wall, I am proud to be fundraising on behalf of an incredible charity. As a buyer in the construction industry I have been overwhelmed by the support of the suppliers I work with, and in particular, the very generous sponsorship from MQP."
