| Description | Although there have been quarrying operations at Groby since the early 1900's the current plant was built and commissioned in Feb 2002. The plant is a modular low-level batch heater asphalt plant, it supplies a full range of macadam's and hot rolled asphalts predominantly to the collect market. Groby obtains its aggregates from Cliffe Hill Quarry in Leicestershire. Groby work in partnership with Leicestershire County Council, offering a recycling facility for their construction arisings. The site pays particular attention to community liaison and reducing the environmental impact of its operations.
